This is a message I received from one of my previous employee now working for HCL BPO. He is absolutely a nice chap and very much perfect. He is very much punctual ability to manage team and many more.. he left me one year ago as he got a good job in Gurgaon and from that company he switched to HCL on a higher post.

I work for HCL BPO in a higher designated post. I had to be absent for one day to collect my Final Settlement cheque, from my previous organization. I informed my upline regarding the same and I was informed that it will be marked as unscheduled leave and ½ of my attendance allowance will be deducted from the same & one day’s salary. As a result I lost more than Rs. 1900/- just for the same. When I argued about the same I was said that this is the policy of the organization and nothing can be done for the same.

In other organizations there is something known as LWP (Leave without Pay) only. But here something more is added as attendance allowance. So before sending more persons to HCL BPO please check all the terms & condition.

I had the same problem with my present recruiter (especially the HRD). Based on my experience, they are nuts, you can never make them understand your problems.

It will be a big surprise if they are working for big agencies like HCL.

As you must be knowing i have seen a lot of NDA’s and other documents used by call centers. Most of them {small or big} follows same procedures.

I can proof it as i had the deduction slip in my hand. since that person is very much poor and cant afford to leave the job, I dont want to ruine his future.

Deduction in salary is a big pain, try to understand this please. For some people even a 1000 bucks matters a lot

Out of curiosity, what is the arrangement between the HCLBPO and you? Is everything internal, or are they outsourcing these operators?

Arun is absolutely right. HCL BPO’s leave policy is absolutely rubbish. As per the papers, you have to attend the office on all the indian as well as western holidays. And you get a complimentry off for the same. However, when you ask for a comp. off, you don’t get it. If you take just like that, it would be marked as an unscheduled leave. Also, attendence allowence here is only 1000, where as in other bpo’s, same is around 3 to 4K. Also, HCL claims to be 5 days a week company. But they make there employes work for 6 days. That’s the reason, why people kick HCL and go to other companies.
