It’s a saying that Team never build overnight. It took long time and hard work to create a winning team, but it is achievable if you plan well. Few things I am adding to my personal diary to forget a “bad day”.

It’s always very hard to start your life again. Too much stress and overwork can kill your output. You have to build new contacts, new team as well as new loyal people who work with you. Establishing your name in market is a sensitive issue and you need to penetrate the market cautiously. The worst part is, it’s very hard to get a loyal team now days. People keep on switching from one place to another will make you more unstable.

These days I am not at all in good shape and much worried too. I am here in Delhi for more than 2 years and have mixed experiences till date. What bugs me a lot is the attitude of the people. They never bother to keep there commitments. Neither are they committed to there own work. That’s very strange. I am now experiencing a tougher innings of my life. I can call it true struggle.

Out of 100’s of resume received from the job seekers, over 80% are not capable of doing what they wrote in there job profile. I am very much surprised how they are getting jobs. I have seen at many places where a newly joined professional starts distributing there resumes for a better opening very next day. What makes them so insecure? Truly speaking when you have ability to deliver, need not to worry about your job as performance speaks itself. Neither your present employer will afford to loose you nor you have to worry about your future.

I really appreciate the attitude of my small team in Kolkata. They are the best of the choice still and it’s very hard to beat them. They are good learners and never think they are the master of the subject, till they really hold the total control. My customers abroad are happy with their work and still I am able to manage there requirements. Here in Delhi things are different. What ever works executed here are not up to the mark and meets the quality standards we maintain in Kolkata.

People have different attitude and different mindset. They have enormous potentials to work at hardest level, but they waste there talents in other unproductive stuffs. Instead of finding the solution, they immediately surrender to it. Development is a work where there are no short cut methods and need to apply logics repeatedly till the solution works. Most of the people stop doing work and easily free themselves from assigned job, though they are capable of doing the same. Why to take botheration if I am going to be paid in any case.

Next big problem is over estimation of capacity and delivery. Many of them think whatever they have created is best in the world and there is nothing better than this. If you show them an example of better work dome by other team member or other person, they will try to find the mistakes committed by them, instead of analyzing the deficiencies within them. These attitudes restrict the thought process and kill the creativity. It’s very hard to define these in words.

Another big problem is distances within the city. You cannot touch more than 2 or 3 potential buyers in a day, if they are located in different localities. You need to calculate every seconds of your time and take instant decisions about attending the calls or leaving them. The attitude of marketing personals is too different here. If they gain few contacts, on personal level, will not go beyond that. They restrict themselves to a certain level. Reason, they think their job is over for the month just meeting a portion of the target.

Above all is related to quality of delivery. It suffers most when you have employees with this type of attitude. It’s good for me to be in Delhi as it teaches me a lot. I am passionate about my work and surely struggle my way out. My team in Delhi will be most competitive and surely adopt the culture we have developed in Kolkata. All I need to get more and more involved with various people out here and spread my reach. Delhi has stored a lot more in its kitty for me and a better choice of living. I am constantly working towards finding my winning strategy and surely get those in a short period of time.

Count Down Begins Now. !!
