This is not the rumour but a reality. Yes !!!!!! I have seen this. Finally Google released its much awaited instant messenger service at google talk
You can IM your friends as well as talk to them using this service. You need to have an Gmail account with you and all your Gmail contacts will be loaded automatically.
Earlier it was also a rumaor that Google is acquiring Meetro - A location aware social networking software.
